'S.O.S. Peruanitos'

S.O.S. PERU considers education as a factor in the development of people. It therefore seeks to contribute to the improvement of educational services in the country, performing with special emphasis on the main variables that condition: Quality and Equity.

STRATEGIES

  • Participative management involves engaging all community volunteers.
  • Making alliances with educational institutions where students will be inserted.
  • Continuing education of community members, aimed at improving the learning experience of students.
  • Tutoring and parents to have an ally trained in the education of their children.

Basic Conditions of educability support:

Arrangements have been made to improve the nutritional status of children who have been disadvantaged by parental abandonment or poverty, decreasing the dropout thus facilitating the achievement of learning in the short and long term. In marginal urban areas and promoting nutritional practices among families to promote the consumption of foods rich in iron.

STRATEGIES

  • Manage the involvement of mothers' clubs and students of the Nutrition Program.
  • Educating through informative and dynamic workshops on nutrition.
  • Make food fairs.

SOS Peru seeks to improve the quality of life of children, by promoting the practice of health care in families, contributing to access to health services in poor social groups excluded.

PROJECTS

  • Access to Health Services: The bet on the project for strengthening health services to help improve the living conditions of children, girls and mothers, be conducted through the active participation of local strategic partners, creating partnerships with the MOH.
  • Oral Health Care: It contributes to improving the situation of children from the area of intervention through preventive actions and recuperative promotional, promoting the increase in the practice of tooth brushing, improving access to quality health services and the consequent decline in dental caries and early tooth loss. The actions are developed in close coordination with governing bodies in health.

STRATEGIES

  • Capacity building to facilitate the identification of problems.
  • Participation of mothers to become actresses in their own local development, capable of exercising their rights to health.
  • Promoting healthy behaviors in children through education and health communication.

Association that assists entrepreneurs exclusively to poor mothers and desire to excel through development and implementation of a micro enterprise, a business NGO Microenterprise trained in helping their items to have a sustainable economy for their family and community.

Mission

Contribute to the self-assessment of low-income women in Peru to provide support, management and control in marginal areas of low economic resources for the creation and implementation of a micro enterprise, made up of skilled professionals and social responsibility.

Being a nonprofit leader, positioned and recognized nationally for promoting the development of a self-sustaining enterprise.

Objectives:

  • To facilitate, through a continuous process of training, the staff member revaluation, which implies the conviction to be protagonists of their own development.
  • Provide training on topics of interest as management, business improvement.
  • Raising self-esteem, social discipline, values, women's rights and health issues among others.
  • Implement a flexible, group, solidarity, sustainable and easily accessible to poor families, so they can improve their self-employment opportunities and increase revenue.
  • To foster in them the capacity to save itself which becomes a financial basis for self-sustainable productive microenterprises.
  • We encourage them to develop their entrepreneurship, the strengthening of social discipline and daily practice of securities spirit of service, honesty and work. .
